Icarus is a tall young human originally hailing from the plane of Greyhawk. He met Valeria on the plane of fire when she had been lost there, and helped her return home. Hearing of her, and the players’, plight, he decided to stay with them and help fight against the Aeons, even when Valeria fell to the Aboleth in the underground path. Now that the fight for the kingdoms is no longer the party’s immediate concern he wonders if he will really have much to stay for, though if they decide to gather allies to rejoin the fight in Akshar, he will continue to support the group.
Icarus is an odd man; his noble intent is betrayed by his means of achieving his goals. He lacks the faith and the good will to have followed the path of a Paladin, instead learning to fight for whatever his cause may be by whatever means are available to him. In combat he is a dangerous opponent, his skill with exotic weaponry and techniques lending him a great advantage over the unwary. He is well spoken, and friendly enough, though a little new to extraplanar travel, and sometimes finds it hard to adapt to new cultures, seeming either overly cautious or downright ignorant on occasion. He rides a great warhorse whose name he has never mentioned.
