Jeaude grew up in the Fourteen Kingdoms, in the city of Wall. His upbringing was unusual, being the orphan of a halfling couple far from their original home, with no family to speak of. He grew accustomed to life on the streets of one of the magical capitals of the world, where few had any need to learn the skills of a rogue, though many had use for those who did. His talents for stealth and acrobatics frequently landed him in hot water, but his use often outweighed his nuisance, and he often found himself paying off one crime by commiting another. When Gildur’s adventurers told him that his bloodline was that of an ancient, magical race, he was sceptical at first, but following the events of Wall’s lost ice temple and his ability to defeat the wards on the entrance where no one else could has stirred in him a sense of greatness that many halflings only ever dream of. His personality has grown greatly since, as has his ego, which has further strained his already tense working relationship with the group. However, his talents remain extremely useful, and Gildur has asked that of all the people who may return to Akshar, Jeaude be first amongst them.
